Do we call this art or is it simply trash? In case of trahspo it’s both! I’m not much of a trashpo-artist but sometimes even I like to save something from the garbage can to incorporate it into my art. In this piece of mail art I made my fair lady wear a candy wrapper dress ; )
The recipient of “THE green DRESS” is Viviana from Argentina. I hope she doesn’t mind me sending her trash ^^

Spending time with my „American Family“ is always a blast. Just recently we visited a friend of theirs who owns cutting horses. For me and my American family’s current exchange student (a German horse-and-riding-addicted girl like me) it was the first time sitting on a western horse. It was so different from what we are used to. A true thrill ride!
Cutting horse “Woody” and me. Photocourtesy of my amazing American Dad 🙂 Thank you for always taking such great pictures!
And I think the following piece of art goes very well with this very unique experience. It’s my first linocut in about two years: A RODEO-cut.
I’ve sent one of the eleven prints I made to Viviana Cernjul in Argentina. Of course I created a very special envelope for it too. Take a look:
Hopefully I’ll be able to save some more time for blogging in the next couple of weeks: All the exciting things I’m seeing and experiencing during my stay in the US this year have kept me away from the blogosphere quite a lot recently.
P.S. I’ve also acquired a plethora of postcards from five different states already. Finding them is not really easy sometimes. I’ll let you know where I got mine in one of my upcoming posts. Promise : )
This post contains not one but two of Viviana’s cute mail art pieces that she sends on their long way from Argentina to Germany.
First a little “flower-fashionista”…
…and then some mysterious signs, glyphs and symbols 🙂
I hope you like them as much as I do. Thank you Viviana!
This postcard came to me all the way from Buenos Aires in Argentina. It crossed the distance of 7281 miles (11717 km) in 19 days. Thank you lautaro for sending me my first postcrossing card from Argentina and also for giving me a little brush up on my Spanish skills. ¡Muchas gracias!
Have a wonderful new week!
Today I received my first Christmas Mail Art! It was such a nice surprise to find this in my mailbox. It was sent to me by Viviana from Argentina and she has her own Mail Art blog over at blogspot.com: “Arte Correo Para el Mundo” (Mail-Art for the World).
So now it’s really Christmas for me!
I am going to make some pretty Christmas Mail Art for Viviana now. Why don’t you join me? Get creative, make some Christmas Mail Art, send some love out into the world and then don’t forget to tell me about it!
