The Wild Words’ PELICAN went to Stephanie Blake, a fellow Mail Artist from Alabama. Over at IUOMA she had commented on the GORILLA I’d sent to arttower here in Germany, saying how much she loved it. So, knowing that she would like it I grabbed the PELICAN and mailed it to her 🙂 I think especially it’s envelope turned out fantastic!
Have a great Wednesday ;P

This is the envelope I sent my 26th postcrossing card in. It went to Janusz in Poland. He prefers to receive blank cards in envelopes and since I don’t like sending away plain white envelopes I did a little decorating. I’d also show you the postcard I stuck inside of it but unfortunately I forgot to scan it and didn’t notice until I had already glued the envelope shut I know that it was one very similar to the ones I posted here.
Lots of smiles to you,
If you’ve been here for my Hydra post on Thursday last week you know that I hadn’t been done with the envelope for the “Red Hydra” version of my lino print then…
…but now, it’s all done and finished. So, here it is:
I took an old cork and cut it in half to get a rougher surface, then dipped it in white acrylic paint and stamped – what hopefully looks like ocean spray : ) – straight onto the envelope. Then I added a little sparkly touch to it using a silver paint marker and voilà done was the red ocean spray hydra envelope. It doesn’t look all that cool in the photographs but in realitiy I think the envelope turned out to be rather awesome ; D And this little pretty and simple piece of mail art is gonna go out to Julia Winkler from Nevada, USA today.
Have a nice day!
